When I speak with a brush, you listen with your eyes. Only a sensitive person will understand….

How did it start? I have sold a lot of classical/traditional paintings in my life. In fact, I made a living selling paintings and creating computer graphics throughout my college years. Sumi-e – Japanese ink painting, in the beginning was supposed to be just for me. Something like a personal journey, meditation.

And suddenly from Asia, the owner of TOP-ART Art Schools in Szczecin, called with a proposal: let’s do something together. And then I decided that I would share my passion, that I would let others into my world after all. And so began the adventure with Sumi-e workshops.

I was, and am, insanely grateful for every person who loved this world as I did and wanted to take this journey with me. And then suddenly came the questions about buying graphics. Because actually, why not?

Where did my love for this ancient art come from? From a great need to slow down and focus on myself. From the need for deep relaxation and leaving the whole world behind the door of the room. From the need to focus on the here and now, which is akin to training one’s own mind and putting thoughts under control.

What else do I love this play for?

For the journey to self-discovery. And for being able to capture the beauty and complexity of the world with just a few brush strokes. For the constant delight through small and inconspicuous things.

I am a visual artist by training and an art master. I studied painting in architecture. I defended my diploma in silk painting and stained glass design. Currently, as a certified teacher, I teach at the Constantin Brancusi State High School of Fine Arts in Szczecin. I run the Studio of Design Basics and the Studio of Artistic Specialization of Sculptural Techniques in Woodcarving. As part of various international and regional projects, I organize workshops in Japanese painting and calligraphy.

I also cooperate with the TOP-ART Art School in Szczecin, for which I design some advertising graphics and conduct workshops on Japanese painting – Sumi-e, to which I cordially invite you.

I am also passionate about traveling, discovering new places and tastes. Healthy eating, harmony and peace of mind – in a word, balance between work, hobbies and personal life. Sumie’s Japanese painting fits perfectly into this rhythm.
